These are tips for absolute beginners or anyone that needs a refresher course.
Even if you don’t play Yakuza and just want to learn the basics of Shogi, this is a good spot to start. No we didn’t use the japanese names for pieces, just to keep it simple for newbies.

Auditions continue for hostesses in Yakuza 6. 1000, down to 10.
Yakuza 6’s Hostess Girl search is now on. With over 1000 women applying this second step has the development team interviewing 100 hopeful candidates that made it through the first review process.
Chief Producer Masayoshi Yokoyama, Producer Daisuke Sato, Project Manager Koji Uemura handled the interviews and selection process while General Manager, Toshihiro Nagoshi watched from the back of the room occasionally asking questions.
The 100 girls were interviewed in groups of 5 and each girl was asked to show or explain what makes her unique to the panel of judges. Girls from backgrounds applied. Models, voice actors, gravure idols, musicians, etc. Even a professional wrestler from the Tokyo Women’s Wrestling showed off her skills.
After deliberating girls were chosen from each group to move on to the next round. Around 1/10 of applicants actually made it through. Starting at the end of March voting will begin online to choose your favorites. So stay tuned once we know our girls we’ll have all the details!
From an interview with 4Gamer, Nagoshi-san revealed they’re going into this selection process with the ideal of reinvigorating the spirit of Ryu Ga Gotoku, getting fans involved in this huge new project of Yakuza 6.

First 4 Figures announce Kazuma Kiryu statue!
First 4 Figures announced earlier this week that a Kazuma Kiryu statue would be going up for preorder starting tomorrow March 8! Some fans on the Facebook page expressed how upset they were with the head sculpt. Noting that Kiryu’s face didn’t look right so F4F is pushing back preorders while they work on something everyone is happy with!
With F4F prices being incredibly high I’m personally really glad they’re listening to fan feedback and taking the time to make sure he’s perfect.
We’ll let you guys know as soon as preorders open!

Just curious if you were able to find out since my searches were pretty fruitless. Do we have any numbers on how well Yakuza 5 did once it was finally localized? I had my reserved pretty much since I was able, but I am curious to know how well it did after we fought for so long.
I’m afraid I haven’t seen any sales numbers but according to the Playstation blog it was the 5th highest selling PS3 game of December 2015 in the US and the 7th highest selling PS3 game in December in the EU. Which isn’t bad for a 3 year old game on a last gen system.
The real battle will be fought when Yakuza 0 hits (hopefully) later this year on PS4.

The scans basically talk about what Nishiki did on the day Kiryu’s storyline in Zero began. We also learn Nishiki 1) doesn’t like 2-in-1 shampoos 2) daily hair routine is shampoo–>conditioner–> hair treatment for 1 hour–>hairdry for 30 minutes.
Amazing!
